I work in both acrylics and mixed media.  I began painting portraits in 2005 to complete the Christmas card series my deceased husband was doing of our grandchildren.  With that complete I began working on big abstracts building my own frames and stretching the canvases.  I then built 12 x 12 and 16 x 16 masonite pieces on wood frames using both acrylic and collage paintings.  The squares worked for me and I then moved to acrylic paintings on square canvases.  Presently, I am painting people on large canvases combining acrylics with papers. I am best known for my use of color.  My work can be seen at both the Prairie Art Alliance in the Hoogland Center and at The Pharmacy.
